UTAH: ZION & BRYCE NATIONAL PARKS

UTAH: ZION & BRYCE NATIONAL PARKS

I haven't blogged for many years.  This year life has been settling in place and I found what I used to love which was blogging and taking pictures.

The year 2020 has been saddening by the world.  Covid-19 has affected people's life and killed millions of people over the world.  The cover face mask is a fashion statement for this year.  Zoom is the most used application all over the world.  People live slow and have turned to God.  Life is cutting shorter each day.

This year, during the Thanksgiving weekend, my father and I got together to travel to Utah.  We drove to Zion but was not able to buy the shutter bus pass to get in the park.  On the first day, we stopped at the visit to pick up the map.  We then drove to ZION-MT. CARMEL TUNNEL.  It is about 1.1 miles in length and was built & completed in 1930.

Tip: you can drive your own vehicle in the park only during December- February.  The rest of the year, you need to buy shutter bus ticket at least a month in advance.

On the way, we stopped at many places to take pictures.  Trees turning to yellow leaves on the side roads, red mountains, huge orange rocks, bright shine sun built up to the magnificent pictures which can't describe into words.

Then the next day, we drove to DIXIE NATIONAL FOREST, went through the cave to the BRYCE NATIONAL PARK.  From Zion to Bryce took us about 45 mins drive.  When you are there, make sure to stop at sunrise point & sunset point at the right time..

Tips: if you are not planning to hike, you are able to drive your own vehicle to the park.  You can stop to take pictures & drive to the nenext points, It will take about 4-5 hours to start & end.  If I would know that, I will dress better for pictures.
