OC -Artists Village in Santa Ana

Image
Santa Ana is an old city which is known for an impoverished city compared to other cities in Orange County, but Santa Ana is very rich in its culture.   Amazingly, in Santa Ana down town you can find a small beautiful village called: " The Artists Village " on Broadway between 1st and 2nd street; it has antique architectural buildings, artistic restaurants, and a few art studios.  The Artists Village is attracting people to come and appreciate the arts, live in art village, or enjoy a relaxing lunch at either Gypsy Den or Memphis .  They are both cute outdoor restaurants right across from each other.  GYPSY DEN 125 N Broadway, Santa Ana, CA 92701 (714) 835-8840

Bower Museum is in Santa Ana where I took pictures for my wedding eleven years ago.  Coming back this place, my husband and I now have a four-year old daughter with us.  We enjoyed having lunch at Tangata and  visited the museum. BOWERS MUSEUM 2002 N.MAIN STREET SANTA ANA, CA 92706 714.567.3600

OC-The Old World Village in Huntington Beach

Image
Coming back to the Old World Village where I used to take pictures for my wedding eleven years ago, it reminds me of the old days.  Even though every thing looks the same but most of the stores have changed owners and businesses have been slo.  It is sadden because there were no business even during the weekend; I can see the stress on people's face.  The ice cream store where Bao used to propose me now is a Chinese tea place.  I met with the new owner and took a few pictures with her.  She was fond of Jolie and kept asking taking pictures with us. The Old World Village is a business place where are German restaurants and European stores decorated with the Europe styles.  Dolores Rose Bischof was the founder of this place; she is in heaven on September 18, 2010. OC-The OC Mix in Costa Mesa

Image
The OC Mix is a hidden gem for shopping, eating and hang out in Costa Mesa.  You can find many unique clothing stores and jewelry shops which are designed by the local designers.  In addition, you can't oversee all the awesome restaurants with creative menus.  I was very impressed with the Portola Coffee Lab http://www.theocmartmix.com/portola-coffee-lab where you can have a cup of coffee which is custom to your taste and finished with a heart shape of top of your coffee.   3313 Hyland Ave. Costa Mesa, CA 92626    Portola Coffee!
